My thesis exhibition titled Skeleton Woman: Embracing the Unknown Allows for Surprises was a success and I passed my thesis defense.
Here are some quotes from guests who were able to view this temporary installation."Felt as I walked into a closet of someone's mind. Very comforting, quiet, intriguing. Things in a state of flux and progress. I imagined that the person would return at any moment and catch me in my moment of voyeuristic curiosity."
"It starts with little tears drops and kind of sad/sensitive then things fall apart and get together....quiet moment and exotic....it fades away like a quiet sand storm, but very peaceful!"
"Small details (brightly colored grommets holding paper, iridescent paint, etc.) were lovely surprises as I scanned the walls. This is a show that seriously demands the attention of the willing viewer and I feel like I could see it many times and find new points of interest."
"Initially I felt overwhelmed but soon felt a sense of strong emotion, fun and sadness, all at the same time."
"I like the fact that I don't have to wrack my brain to find some profound conceptual meaning...your absurd pink collages tell me that it's about discovery...encounter and the experiential. It's a refreshing form of presentation."

Seven Minus Seven Exhibition A Huge Success!!
Well since this is my first news update I'll fill you in on what seven minus seven is....... It is an artist cooperative in ST. Thomas that recently opened (12-08). It is an offshoot of a non-profit, Alternative Artist Alliance, founded by Clay Lindol Jones. I am a resident artist there which means my studio is there, I can exhibit and I volunteer time to helping the collective. We have a show about ever month (projected).
So last night was our second show and it went great. I flexed my curatorial skills and displayed over half a dozen artists work. Two bands played, everyone had a great time and of course I sold some art work! Yay!
